A melting pot of talent: Finding my place at Grassfish

Grassfish, to me, is like a melting pot of talent—a big team of incredibly smart people who are all rowing in the same direction to create something great. We’re in one boat together, and the energy that comes from working toward a shared goal is something really special.

I joined Grassfish in November 2024, and it was not only my first real job in Vienna but also a new cultural experience after moving here from London. At first, I was nervous about how it would be to work in a new country, but I immediately felt at home thanks to the people around me. With their support, I quickly found my feet in my role as Head of Consulting.

My work is very dynamic, which is one of the things I love about it. Some weeks I focus on strategic, high-level operations; other weeks I’m deep in project work with customers. I lead two amazing squad teams who have become like a small family, and I also get to collaborate with other departments like sales and account management. The best moments are when I can be truly helpful—whether that’s supporting colleagues or making customers happy.

One of my biggest highlights has been creating incredible things together with incredible people. Sometimes we face challenges that feel impossible, but by putting our heads together, we solve them. Those moments make me feel part of something bigger—for our clients, for the team, and for Grassfish as a whole. If I had to choose one of our core values that I live by every day, it would be Think like a customer. My career actually started in guest services for a semi-luxury neighborhood in central London, and that mentality has never left me. Whether I’m looking at strategy, projects, or problem-solving, I always try to step into the customer’s shoes.

What excites me most about the digital in-store industry is the potential and the creativity. You can create just about anything—and that freedom to innovate is what makes this field so inspiring. But at the end of the day, the best part of my job is the people. Both my colleagues and our clients are amazing, and working with such great people every day makes all the difference.
